Plain or not Greek yogurt is packed with protein. Most brands offer as much as 17 grams of protein in only ¾ cup and only 90 calories. For a tasty snack at your favs and mix ’em up. You can make them ahead for the week and even freeze them to enjoy at your leisure or on the go!
Here’s a simple recipe yogurt snack recipe*:
¾ cup – Greek Yogurt
¼ cup – Pecans, walnuts, pistachios or almonds – plain not roasted)
¼ cup – Coconut (shredded, unsweetened, organic)
½ cup – Fruit (frozen or fresh: banana, blueberry, strawberry, blackberry, etc or mix ’em up)
The flavor without the sugar in the unsweetened coconut is not only healthier it allows the unique flavors of the other ingredients to stand out rather than the sweetness of the sugar.
